Chuck Hinton, left, scurries back to second, after being trapped while heading for third, and Don Lock, right, who had advanced to second, starts successful race back to first as Yankees third baseman Clete Boyer waits in vain for relay. Lock had singled, driving in a run, to start the wild run-down play. New York won the game 4-1.
