A distraught factory worker, William R. Jones, was held here today for investigation of first degree murder after he electrocuted his wife in a bathtub and vainly tried to kill himself. The 62-year-old man told how he killed his wife, Barbara, also 62, legless after two operations, in a "mercy" murder-suicide pact.
