Would Forecast Hurricanes. This comparatively simple -- looking device would forecast progress of hurricanes very accurately were it installed in the Caribbean and south America, Dr. Carl Lange (above) of Harvard university told the international union of geodesy and geophysics in Washington, sept. 7. It is an automatic weather broadcasting station, capable of automatically measuring and broadcasting at regular intervals to a receiving station on 50 miles away the temperature, barometer reading, wind velocity and direction, amount of sunshine and humidity.
