World's Largest Dredger Hunts Treasure The Karimaya, world's largest tin-dredger, photographed off the island of Terschelling, at the entrance to the Zuyder Zee, Holland, where she is attempting to salvage more than $5,000,000 in gold an silver from the British frigate "Lutine" which was wrecked in 1799. The dredger is equipped with 130 scoops of hard steel, driven by an electric motor of 1,800 horse power. With these scoops she hopes to smash through the wreckage to a depth of 90 feet.
