Mrs. Barbara Kahle Wheat, 38, above, was booked on charge of assault with intent to murder and held in $15,000 bail in Darien, Conn., today in connection with the near fatal shooting of her husband, artist John Potter Wheat. Police said that she fired three bullets into her husband as their two young children slept in another room.
