He Watched the River From Inside--A teen age boy of the Studebaker family, invalided and his legs in braces, watches as the rest of his family greet a helicopter bringing relief supplies. This young man sat in the picture window and watched the Eel river (at right) rise to flood stage through field glasses. Army, Navy, Marine and Civilian helicopters are flying at every opportunity with food, clothing and medical supplies where necessary. McCann is 65-70 miles south of Eureka.
