Washington: President Nixon, in his news Conference 5/8, offered to meet at the White House 5/9 with representatives of antiwar protesters who may gather 100,000 strong to demonstrate against his war policies. Here, a number of the protestors gather on the grounds of the Washington Monument to watch the President on television (center). Nixon's statements were met with cat calls, clenched fists, obscenities and an occasional "Sieg Heil."
