Women challenge three-cat law

Glendale, Calif., July 28--Miss Aura Hardison, left, and Miss Marian Martin are pictured with some of the 150 cats they are harboring--to the annoyance of their neighbors--in their home here. They pleaded innocent yesterday to a charge of operating a kennel without permit and demanded a jury trial set for August 20. They insist they are not operating a kennel but merely are "providing a home for the homeless." A city ordinance says anyone with more than three cats must have a kennel license.
