A Whale of an Iceberg. Moby Dick the great white whale may have sunk a ship but this mammoth iceberg could sink a dozen ships. The International Ice Patrol at Argentina, Newfoundland, has spotted 250 icebergs from the air already this season and warned shipping. The Patrol was formed after the Titanic disaster 42 years ago when 1,517 were lost after the giant liner struck an iceberg full tilt on her maiden voyage. Size of berg may be judged from fact only about 1/10 shows above water.
