War veteran goes beserk, kills mother

Gene Cushing, 26, discharged by Army psychiatrists six weeks ago, ran amok after fatally stabbing his mother, Mrs. Nan Cushing, 15 times with a nine-inch butcher knife after he first disemboweled a pet dog in their home.
