Wants to be "altar girl"

Hadley, Mass. - Krista Smith, 13, studies her catechism in her Hadley home. Krista had been serving as an "altar girl" at St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Hadley, but in June her church pastor received a notice from the Vatican reiterating church tradition that only boys assist the priest during worship services.
