New England's only fire chief, Nancy Allen, of the Cedar Hill Fire Company, today went to the rescue of five firemen who were overcome by smoke while battling a fire near a dynamite shed & the Consumers Brewery. With the aid of Chief Allen & 12 men, the five firemen were rescued & revived. Chief Allen, equipped with first aid equipment assisted in reviving the men who had been battling a blaze that burned over 15 acres.
