Woman aquanauts

La jolla, calif. -- Ann Hartline and Alina Szmant, 23-year-old graduate students at scripps institution of oceanography, have been selected among america's first five women aquanauts. they will stay 14 days in and around a 50-foot-deep habitat in the caribbean this summer as part of the tektite 2 underwater living experiment. "it shows girls are capable of doing scientific work," mrs. hartline told newsmen tuesday.
