Miss Dorothy Douglas, 19, (left) sweetheart of Army Lieutenant Beaufort C. Swancutt who suddenly went beserk at an officer's lounge in Campanza, and her girl friend, Miss Lourdine Livermore, 19, both of Long Beach, Calif., who died from the bullets of the revolver held by the 31-year-old lieutenant. Besides the two girls, a patrolman was killed and five others wounded before police officer Ernest Cole halted the wild shooting spree by inflicted bullet wounds in the chest, stomach and kidneys of the gone-mad Army man.
