Victims' mother arrives to testify

Mrs. James Fritz will be the first state witness in the trial of Charles Howard Schmid, Jr., 23. He is charged with the murder of two of her children, Gretchen, 17, and Wendy, 13. The girls left home for a drive-in movie on Aug. 16 and disappeared. Their bodies were found Nov. 10th. The father is a prominent Tucson heart specialist. Mrs. Fritz is accompanied by her father, Edward R. Frudden (left) and her attorney, Richard Grand.
