Walter A. Ryan, Alice Belskis Ryan

Mrs. Alice Belskis Ryan (Right), a 41-year-old mother who has identified herself as the wife of a Roman Catholic priest, has filed a $2,375,000 suit against the church, Francis Cardinal Spellman and other individuals, charging they kidnaped her husband. Mrs. Ryan, mother of 4 daughters, said in supreme court suit the defendants used "Force..and intoxicating veverages" to kidnap her husband. The suit claims she and her husband, Walter A. Ryan (Left), 57, were secretly married in 1950 while he was assistant pastor of St. Patrick's Church in Glen Cove, N.Y. The suit claimed the church and its officials had ful knowledge of the marriage and children. (It is not known when above photos were made.)
