Novi, Mich.-Shirley Husted, 13, (right) died from blows from a claw hammer last night in her home in Novi, Mich., (left). Police said James G. Gostlin, 20, surrendered voluntarily in the girl's death and admitted beating her parents with the hammer. Both were hospitalized. Mrs. Husted said Gostlin forced her to disrobe and drove her several miles before she was released.
