Walberswick Ferry

In the foreground is a Suffolk road, on which a cart stands still while the driver, a woman, converses with a man who carries a burden on his shoulder. At the extreme left is a house with an external flight of steps. In the middle distance is the ferry. In the further shore is a lighthouse and a square church tower is seen among the trees. A tall, thin post now rests against the projecting dark mass on the left, the outline of which has been made smoother.
