Venus, seen from the front, is entirely naked. A drape that is stretches out on a hillock, serves as a bed for her luminous body. Her left hand touches her hair. In the foreground, Cupid sits up. He holds an inverted, smoking torch. There is dark foliage in the background and faraway landscape on the left.
