Smiles for a Strikeout Artist--Sam McDowell was all smiles in the Cleveland dressing room tonight after striking out 14 and pitching the Indians to a 3-2 victory over the Chicago White Sox. The 14 was a one-game high in the major leagues this season. Behind McDowell (from left) are Larry Brown, Leon Wagner and Max Alvis. All three hit homers to back up McDowell, a 21-year-old southpaw who was brought back from the minor leagues Saturday after winning eight straight for Portland.
