Smiles All Around - Richard E. Cross (left), new Chairman of American Motors Corp., George Romney, former President and Chairman, and Roy Abernathy, (right), new President of the corporation, had big smiles at a special meeting of the board of directors in Detroit today. Romney, who was formerly head of the company, took a leave of absence today to run for the Republican nomination for Governor of Michigan. Cross and Abernathy were elevated by the directors.
