W. E. Redfearn (l) and mrs. margie pusser anxiously await result of recount in contested probate judgeship race which ended in tie, each receiving 1,202 votes in first count nov. 4. Recount was not expected to be completed until late tuesday night (11/11). Redfearn, ousted from the office on public drunkeness and other misconduct charges by gov. timmerman, won renomination in democratic primary. Mrs. pusser ran as write-in candidate after redfearn was charged with murder in fatal shooting of a chesterfield funeral director. He's free under $15,000 bond.
