VT's wife's draft trial begins

Mrs. Lucille Miller, and her husband, Manuel, read a telegram standing on the steps of the U.S. District Court, Brattleboro, Vt., where she goes on trial on a Federal indictment changing she attempted to influence young men to evade the draft in an anti-Communist pamphlet she published. Mrs. Miller gained wide publicity with her husband, two months ago when they stood off authorities for 12 hours until a barrage of tear gas forced their surrender.
