Vote to strike. Members of the Boston Mailers union as they cast their ballots at a union meeting in Boston today (march 6). to strike against the Boston newspapers to enforce their demand for a cash raise in a new contract instead of a health-welfare and pension plan. The strike went into effect immediately. Newspapers affected are the Morning Globe and Evening Globe, the Morning Herald, The Evening Traveler, and the Record-American.
