April 20 -- Bound and shot through the head, the body of Mrs. Ann Slazenger (above), 45, was found today in the Verdi Bar, Detroit, which she managed for her widowed mother. Killed in the same way was the porter, Edmund Thompson. The slayings recalled those of two men and a woman who were killed in the same manner two months ago in a bar 10 blocks from the Verdi Bar.
