Episode of the legend of "Bonhomme Misère." The thief has climbed up a ladder into a tree laden with fruit, and hung his basket on a branch; the "Bonhomme Misère," waving his crutch summons him in the presence of two witnessess; monogram "A.L." in the lower right corner. On the branches of the pear tree has been lengthened and descends almost to the roof of the cottage of Bonhomme Misere; pulled in bistre.
