A hill crowned with buildings and cypresses, girt by a wall; this Is the convent of San Francesco. On the slopes lines of cypresses connect the scattered houses. The effect is light and sunny. Before several of the rows of cypresses. The blank space on the left has been partly filled by trees, lightly sketched but unfinished.
