Vincent Volante, murder suspect

Mineola, N.Y.: Unidentified detective (R) brings murder suspect Vincent Volante, 48, into Nassau County Police headquarters here 12/1 after he was picked up on his job as a New York City subway motorman. Police said Volante stabbed his daughter, Lynda, 18, to death during a family argument over whether the mentally retarded girl should be commited to an institution. Volante's wife, Kathleen, was critically wounded in chest and abdomen.
