Mrs. Andrew d. MacLachlan, 66, recuperates at her Boston apartment after fighting off a would be-strangler who she says tied cord from her bath robe around her neck early today. The man rang her doorbell saying he had a telegram for her--when she opened the door he grabbed her. She could have been the ninth female to die by strangulation in the Boston area since June. Police have not caught up with the strangler in any of the cases.
