Thomas Bean, 18, of Reno (center) was taken into custody Saturday in the brutal slaying of Sonja McCaskie, 24-year-old former Olympic skier. Bean broke from police and ran two blocks before he was tackled by an officer. Dist. Atty. William J. Raggio (right) said he was confident Bean was the man officers have sought more than one week. Sitting on Bean's right as officers took him to the scene of the slaying is Asst. Police Chief William Brodhead.
