Youth goes to trial in schoolgirl's murder

Theodore Carter, Jr., 18-year-old factory worker, is shown (center) escorted by law officers from Bridgton Jail on his way to Cumberland County Courthouse for the opening of his trial for the murder of Lorraine Hess, Milville (N.J.) high school girl last May.
