Young mother slain

Mrs. Carol Curtis, 18, of Hyannis died of gunshot wounds inflicted by her husband, David, 23. He was found later, a mile and a half away, with self-inflicted bullet wounds in the stomach. A witness said the two had an argument on the street in front of their Hyannis home just before the shooting occurred. In this recent photo, Mrs. Curtis hold the couple's only child, David, 4 months old.
