From catalogue raisonné: El Capitan is to the left of center, Bridalveil Fall is to the right, and Cathedral Rock is behind Bridalveil Fall. This view (see also cat. No. 120) was made from a position near present-day Artist Point, close to the view represented in the first published picture to show Yosemite Valley from the Mariposa Trail, an engraving in Hutchings' Illustrated California Magazine, July 1856, p. 2.
