Grandma Nannie Doss, who police say confessed the poison slayings of four of her five husbands, poses nonchalantly at her counsel's table in district court awaiting the start of a jury hearing to decide whether she is legally sane. The case will determine whether she will be tried for the murder of her fifth husband, Samuel L. Doss, 59. She is charged with poisoning three previous spouses in as many other states.
