An Unusual Sight in Bessarabia - Photographers Invades Leper Colony on Difficult Assignment. Photo shows: Here is a most curious locality in Rumania, according to the photographers. In order to get this picture, special precaution was taken by the cameraman, due to the fact that the place is probably one of the most contagious spots in Europe. It's the famous leper colony of Valcov in a remote spot of Bessarabia where the inmates mostly are those of the slavic monks. The place is very little known and particularly kept obscure from the knowledge of Western Europe.
