Under the watchful eyes of police, anti-war demonstrators walk through the rotunda as they leave the House Office Building 8/16 after being unable to get seats at hearing of the House Un-American Activities Committee. The committee began hearing 8/16 on anti-war activities. As they marched out, the people chanted: "End the war in Vietnam. Get the troops home. End the War in Vietnam. Get the troops home.:
