Willie G. Cochran, 36, (right) a sawmill worker, points to a spot in the Etowah River where he told officers they will find the body of Patricia Ann Cook, 14, who disappeared while sunbathing in the yard of her home Monday. Cochran, who was picked up in connection with the rape-slaying, was turned over to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and transferred to an undisclosed jail because of public indignation over the case. An unidentified searcher leans on the rail of the isolated bridge.
