Trial nears end

Memphis, Tenn., Feb. 24--Eugene D. Haas (right), accused of killing his wife, Myrtle, from Portsmouth, R.I., in a bloody climax to an unhappy marriage, helps his lawyer, L.E. Gwinn, into his coat shortly after the defense finished its final argument tonight. At left is Haas' father, Ervin Haas, Frazee, Minn. The case was expected to go to the jury later tonight.
