In the foreground a stone balustrade interrupted by two pedestals on which statues stand, seen from the back, dark against the sky. Two priests walk towards the right near the first statue; over them rises the obelisk of the Piazza del Popolo. The balustrade completed; the statues shaded all over. There are longer slanting lines in the sky, extending to left of the first statue and to the height of 3/4 inch above it. There is still an Interval of nearly 1/4 Inch between the work and the edge of the plate on all sides.
