Preliminary drawing done in Tarrytown, New York. Setting of the print: At time drawing was done, a low tower showed at back of house. Director asked to have tower left out as it was soon to be removed to restore house to original size. Artist once expressed the wish that he had left tower to record house as it was in 1958. Currier and Ives made print of this house.
