Two unidentified boys

Two boys pose tapping their right feet together. This photograph was presumably taken as part of the celebration of the Harvard Class of 1892 in the Harvard Class Races on the Charles River in 1891. The two performers pictured are wearing shorts with the class year and likely played pages or otherwised performed in Francis Wilson's comic opera "Merry Monarch" which had a run in Boston at the Globe Theatre after the opera's Broadway debut in 1890.
