“Thar She Blows”. The first of millions of cubic feet of natural gas shoots out from another well in the Leidy field near Renovo, Pa. The first well, brought in in January,1950,has started an unprecedented boom. Today there are more than 100 wells either being sunk or completed. Another 50 are planned. And all of this in an area only about 10 miles long and three miles wide.
