Cross Burning Protesting Robeson--Unidentified men watch burning cross here last night. Sign at left says “We protest Paul Robeson and other Communists” and has letters KKK at bottom. Earlier Bill Hendrix, who says he is adjutant for Southern & Northern Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, said in Tallahassee, Fla., that crosses would be burned for a week in support of veterans at Peekshill, N.Y., who were involved in a riot,Aug.27, at a scheduled Robeson concert.
