Study for a portrait. Mrs. Walter Richter. (Bellows) / Walter Richter was an enthusiastic collector of Bellows lithographs. He commissioned a painted portrait of his wife; however, it did not please the sitter, and remained in Bellows' studio until the artist's death in 1925. (Mason)
