Torrential rains which swept through the Washington area 7/22 caused major flooding in parts of Northern Virginia. In nearby Shirlington, Va., an estimated 100 new automobiles stored on a lot were swept down the banks of Four Mile Run and some were stacked up in this fashion. The heavy rains also caused postponement baseball's centennial year All-Star game.
