Stabbed by father

Mildred Campbell, 12, asked her unemployed father, Robert Campbell, 47, for some food today to donate to a Thanksgiving basket being collected at her school for the poor. While four of his other children looked on, police said Campbell cried "we need it more than they do" and plunged a knife into his daughter's heart, killing her. Campbell, who is on relief, was charged with murder.
