Students at U. of C. Test Flu Vaccine. The new type of Influenza vaccine, discovered by two Rockefeller Foundation research workers, Dr. Edwin H. Lennette and F.L. Horsfoll, is being administered to 500 students at the University of Chicago, as a possible preventive of Influenza. Because of recent widespread outbreaks of the flu a good opportunity to test the vaccine under actual conditions can be made. The 500 students inoculated will be watched closely. Their resistance to the disease will be checked against the student body as a whole in the event any large number cases of flu occur among the students.
