Top Rookies--Tony Kubek, left, New York Yankee infielder-outfielder, and Jack Sanford, right, Philadelphia Phillies pitcher, today were named major league rookies-of-the-year for 1957. Kubek was a unanimous American League choice. Sanford was named on 16 of 24 National League ballots cast by a committee of the Baseball Writers Association of America.
