Trying to Keep it Flying--Illinois National Guard Sgt. Dennis Hennessy greases the flag pole in front of an armory on Chicago's South Side Tuesday after students threatened to take down the flag. Students, during a demonstration in front of the armory, persuaded officials to lower the flag to half staff in memory of four students slain at Kent State University, but after the students left the flag was raised to the top and grease applied to the lower half the pole.
