St. Louis: John Mayeux, 19, of Alexandria, Vs., paused at a downtown St. Louis restaurant 9/13 on his walk junket to the West Coast. Mayeux left Virginia Beach on July 29 and said he hoped to reach Los Angeles by December 1. "No, "he said, "I turn down rides. "His only complaint was "I have a left sore foot."
